Biggest Wheelchair Backflip Ever

Updated July 30, 2019
In 2010, Nitro Circus Live athlete Aaron "Wheelz" Fotheringham landed the world's biggest wheelchair backflip. And he didn't stop there.
When it comes to wheelchair freestyle, known as WCMX (Wheelchair Motocross), nobody outjumps pioneer Aaron "Wheelz" Fotheringham. During Nitro Circus' Australian tour in 2010, Aaron dropped into the Gigant-A-Ramp and pulled his, and thereby the world's, biggest wheelchair backflip up until then.[1]
Aaron continued executing backflips in the Nitro Circus Live tour, and he didn't stop at that.
Later in 2010 at Camp Woodward, Aaron became the first in the world to do a wheelchair double backflip.[2]

In a Nitro Circus Live show in 2011, Aaron landed the world's first frontflip.[3] In 2018 (video), he stepped things up and performed the trick over Gigant-A-Ramp's biggest gap.

In 2018, he visited the MegaRamp at Woodward West and set three wheelchair world records - tallest quarter pipe drop-in, farthest ramp jump and highest hand plant.[4]

In March 2019, during a Nitro Circus practice session, Aaron landed his dream trick - a 360 backflip.[5]
