Biggest Wave Ever Surfed
Updated Aug 1, 2019
The biggest (tallest) wave ever surfed so far was 24,38 m (80 ft) high. It was done by Rodrigo Koxa in November 2017.
Rodrigo Koxa is an experienced big wave surfer from Brazil who in November 2017 surfed the biggest wave ever, even though he nearly killed himself at the same spot three years earlier.[1] The wave was 24,38 m (80 ft) high, and Koxa thereby beat Garrett McNamara's previous record of 23,77 m (78 ft) from 2011.[1] The video shows Koxa's world record, which, like McNamarara's previous record, was set in Nazaré, Portugal.
