First Video Of Light In Motion
Updated July 5, 2019
Light moves at a speed of up to 299,792,458 m/s (670,616,629 mph)[1] and had never been filmed in motion. Until 2011.
Imagine yourself turning on and then turning off a laser pointer in a trillionth of a second. This would create a light pulse barely one millimeter long.[2] Then imagine filming this pulse of light, as it is moving at the speed of light. This is exactly what scientists at MIT did in 2011.
