Longest Jump With Snowmobile And Motorcycle
Updated July 25, 2019
On New Year's Eve 2011 Robbie Maddison (motorcycle) and Levi LaVallee (snowmobile) did a jaw-dropping simultaneous jump in San Diego, where LaVallee set a record that still stands.
Robbie Maddison's and Levi LaVallee's simultaneous jump took place during Red Bull's New Year No Limits, a TV event that ran each New Year's Eve from 2007 to 2011 - each year with a jaw-dropping stunt. Maddison's motorcycle jump measured 115 m (378 ft).[1] However, during practice he jumped even further - 119 m (392 ft) - an unofficial world record at the time.[1] LaVallee's snowmobile jump measured an incredible 126 m (412 ft) - also a world record.[1]
Levi LaVallee's jump at 126 m (412 ft) is still the record for longest distance jumped on a snowmobile. Robbie Maddison's unofficial moto jump record at 119 m (392 ft) was broken in May 2012, when then 19-year-old Alex Harvill jumped an astounding 130 m (425 ft).[2] Harvill's jump (video below) is still the longest motorcycle jump ever.
